We will share some champagne while making our vision boards!

This New Year’s Eve Beqir and I will be exercising our creativity by making multiple vision boards. What’s a vision board? I’m glad you asked.

A vision board is a visual representation of all of your current goals as though you have already achieved them. Using photos and print slogans from the giant pile of 2011 magazines, markers, glitter, whatever art supplies you have on hand, the vision board will depict and lead you to the realization of your goals.

Many of us harbor a sinking fear of success without realizing it. The vision board keeps your top goals for success, health, career, love, family, wealth, and friends all anchored within photos, thoughts, and things we are grateful for. Surrounding ourselves with constant visual reminders of where we want to be gets us there faster. “The board itself doesn’t impact reality; what changes your life is the process of creating the images—combinations of objects and events that will stick in your subconscious mind and steer your choices toward making the vision real.

This one uses feng shui methods.

How to Make Them? Gather all the magazines from 2011. If you don’t subscribe to any ask a hair or nail salon. Scout the unfamiliar images and words that make your heart leap. Follow your instinct and unleash your imagination. Cut out what ever your spirit guides you to cut and glue them artfully on a giant slab of poster board. Make one for your business, one for your family, one for your weight loss journey. I even found three vision board apps last night and got one for the iPad. The more you saturate your brain with positive images of what you want the less time you have to fear what you don’t have.

How will vision boards change your life? Part of the process is quantum physics. If you repeat red, red, red to yourself with your eyes closed as soon as you open them everything red will pop out at you. Staring at images of things, people, and circumstances you want in your life will trigger you to take action. You will literally start to see ways to bring all your desires into reality–basic law of attraction.

Dream it. Believe it. Be it!

Albert Einstein said, “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.” Instead of spending two seconds making a New Year’s resolution you know you won’t stick to, spend several hours with your spouse, best friend, or kids creating a 2012 vision board and watch the magic happen.  Double Eagle Fitness wishes everyone a healthy and happy holiday.
