Today we are shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Beqir’s dear c\"\"<\/a>olleague and friend,\u00a0\u00a0Captain Feti Vogli. As of this moment, Corporal Aleksand\u00ebr Pe\u00e7i is in a coma. Captain Vogli’s death is the first since the Albanian Army has fought in Afghanistan & Iraq 2002.<\/h2>\n

They were attacked today as their group came under fire by local Afghan police members while escorting a USAID team that was scheduled to meet with local officials to discuss about projects on building new schools and health care centers in this village in southern Afghanistan.<\/h2>\n

Captain Feti Vogli May 23, 1981-February 20, 2012 RIP<\/p><\/div>\n

Three International Security Assistance Force service members, one soldier from an ally NATO country and two Albanian army officers of the \u201cEagle-4\u201d were wounded in the shoot-out. Commander of the first special team, Captain Feti Bedri Vogli and Corporal Aleksand\u00ebr Jak Pe\u00e7i suffered severe wounds and is in a coma.<\/h2>\n

The Albanian Commando, Alexander Peci, who was seriously injured in a Kandahar village, Afghanistan, was sent for a more specialized treatment in a German hospital.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to the latest information, Peci was sent to Landstuhl hospital, Germany, accompanied by a team of doctors.\u00a0The Ministry of Defense reported this Wednesday about his improved health conditions.<\/h2>\n

We are all still praying for a FULL recovery.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Ministry explained that corporal Peci was initially sent to a Bagram Air Base hospital, Kabul, which is specialized for difficult interventions.<\/h2>\n

The Albanian soldier underwent a surgery that was successful and his condition is no longer critical.\u00a0Captain Peci received the \u201cNation\u2019s Martyr\u201d title and the Golden Eagle Medal, given by the President of the Republic.<\/h2>\n

The Ministry of Defense declared that they are still waiting for the body of Captain Feti Vogli, who was killed during the attack. The Ministry cannot accurately determine when his body will arrive, to be buried in the Martyr\u2019s Cemetery. –Top Channel<\/h2>\n
